Dental Surgeons of Royal College Doctor’s Association initiated an oral health programme ‘Healthy Royal Smile’  for the primary section students of the college with the vision of uplifting the oral health of the students. The aim of the programme  is to save the molar teeth of these students with preventive measures so that future troubles with the curative and surgical treatments could be minimized with future decaying. Further more the project aims to screen the students of the entire grade 2 section initially and then to proceed with preventive treatment to the selected eligible students and the patients requiring curative and operative treatments would be directed to dental surgeons by informing parents. All the screening, patient selection and the treatment procedures strictly follow the international standards and this project is fully recognized by the Ministry of Health. This is the first time a dental project of this caliber is organized within a school and the project would be continuing screening and treating  grade 2 students  each year with regular follow ups for the already treated students. Healthy Royal Smile Dental Project expect to cover the entire primary section students in coming years and the project is funded by the Royal College Doctors’ Association and the Loyalty Pledge.
