Grade 6 Students Health Screening Programme 2016

The Royal College Doctors’ Association in collaboration with the Loyalty Pledge Management Committee conducted the annual health screening program for the grade 6 students on the 10^th May 2016 with the objective of screening the students who gained admission to Royal College from the grade 5 scholarship exam from various parts of the country. This program identified & made relevant specialized treatment many a medical conditions which have been hither to undetected.

Over 600 grade 6 students were screened, out of which 238 were detected to have health problems such as nutrition, vision, etc., needing medical attention.

A detailed description of the problems identified were prepared, including the relevant specialized referrals. It was later handed over to the relevant class teachers and the parents too would be made aware of it.  

The RCDA will continue to follow up the students who were detected to have medical problems ensuring them to achieve proper therapy & medication in the weeks to come.

A detailed report of the screening program will be prepared by the RCDA organizers, Dr. Lagath Wanigabadu & Dr. Krishantha Pieris and will be presented to the Principal.
